Selling expensive products

Has anyone here actually made decent money promoting stuff that costs over a thousand dollars, like software subscriptions, coaching programs, or high-end courses? I'm not talking about cheap Amazon stuff. I'm curious how long it took you to land your first real commission and whether you had to spend money on ads or just used free traffic like social media or SEO. Would love to hear real stories from people who've been there, not just the hype.

Yeah, I finally landed my first big commission after about nine months of grinding. Took forever. I had no idea what is high ticket affiliate marketing until a friend explained it to me. Basically, instead of selling cheap stuff, you promote expensive products like software or coaching programs. I focused on business tools, wrote detailed reviews, and answered questions on LinkedIn for free. Didn't spend a dime on ads, just used organic traffic. My first big sale took about six weeks of back and forth with the guy before he bought. Patience is key. Not quick money, but worth it if you stick around.
