Olivia Clemente

Executive Director

Olivia Clemente assumed the role of Director of Events and Partnerships at the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District in April 2021, later progressing to the position of Executive Director by February 2022.
 

Before her tenure at the Downtown Troy BID, Olivia held roles such as Director of Operations for the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee and account coordinator at NBCUniversal Media in New York City.
 

During her initial year at the Downtown Troy BID, Olivia successfully revitalized key events, including Riverfest, Rockin on the River, Pig Out, and Chowderfest, which had been paused due to the pandemic. Additionally, she introduced innovative events such as the Hot Chocolate Stroll, Pride Night Out, Collar City Pop, and College Block Party.
 

Olivia's primary focus lies in supporting businesses within her district. She underscores her commitment to serving the community and enterprises of Downtown Troy, with a strategic goal to attract more visitors to explore and appreciate the offerings of the Collar City.
 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and History from Manhattan College.

Isabella Marchese

Director of Marketing & Communication

Isabella Marchese is the Director of Marketing at The Downtown Troy Business Improvement District, capturing the vibrant cityscape that defines Downtown Troy. With a discerning eye for the distinctive character that sets the city apart, Isabella showcases its diverse array of restaurants, retailers, services, and more, positioning Downtown Troy as a truly exceptional urban destination.

Isabella's journey is marked by a solid academic foundation, having pursued her undergraduate studies at The George Washington University. Armed with knowledge and a passion for community building, she brings a unique perspective to her role as the marketing lead for Downtown Troy.

Isabella highlights the city's walkable layout and emphasizes the accessibility of its numerous offerings. Beyond traditional marketing, her mission is to encapsulate the spirit of a city that isn't just a geographic location but a dynamic community.

As the Director of Marketing, Isabella endeavors to present Downtown Troy as an engaging and thriving city center, where every street and storefront contributes to a unique and memorable urban experience. Having grown up frequenting the Troy Farmer's Market, she brings a personal connection to the community, making her dedication to its vibrancy all the more authentic.




 

Piper Gregory

Communication & Special Events Coordinator

Piper Gregory started at the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District in January 2022 as a Communication Intern. In January 2023, she officially joined our team as the Communication & Special Events Coordinator. She supports the directors in event planning, media coordination, social media management and office management.


Earning a bachelor’s degree from Siena College in Psychology & Health Science, Piper got involved with the Downtown Troy BID to learn more about how businesses operate and what they need to succeed. She enjoys getting to know our business owners through working with them to create fun and exciting events bringing more people to Downtown Troy.

Taylor Mitchum

Brand Management & Media Consultant

Troy has a special place in Taylor's heart. He now calls Troy home and celebrates the friends that make Troy a community for him. Taylor is a creative who is inspired by the people and places of Downtown Troy. He has worked with the BID to develop a modern, fun, and functional way to continue the impactful work of the BID. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys the Troy coffee scene, local farms, art museums, and learning everything he can about business and branding.

Communication Intern

Evelyn Preston

Evelyn Preston, our newest intern at Troy BID, is currently pursuing her master’s degree in communication at the University at Albany. With a genuine passion for diversity, equity, and gender, and sexuality studies, Evelyn is eager to apply her academic knowledge to the corporate landscape, especially in the realm of social media.

In her role with Troy BID, Evelyn plays a pivotal role in bringing the stories of Troy's businesses to life. Armed with her camera, she captures the essence of local establishments, creating reels that showcase the unique charm and character of each business. Her goal is to not just document but to tell the vibrant stories that make Troy special.

Alongside content creation, Evelyn actively engages with the Troy community on Instagram. Through daily stories, she spotlights different businesses and parts of the town, fostering a sense of connection and appreciation for the diverse offerings within Troy.
