Comparing Manga Mini Katanas with Traditional Sword Replicas

I’ve been collecting traditional sword replicas for a while, but recently I started looking at manga mini katanas. They seem smaller, lighter, and way more colorful. I’m curious about how they compare in terms of craftsmanship and display appeal. Has anyone here tried both types and noticed major differences? I want something that looks good on a shelf but still feels “real” in terms of quality.

I’ve dabbled in both, and honestly, they serve slightly different purposes. Traditional replicas feel heavier and more historically accurate, while manga katana pieces focus on style, colors, and character-inspired details. I love displaying my anime-inspired ones because they really pop, but if I want a “serious” sword feel, I go for the traditional replicas. Both are fun to collect, just depends on whether you want realism or fandom flair.
