I haven’t been to Troy myself, but from here in the UK I often enjoy looking at how different towns are revitalising their downtown areas with local events and small businesses. A while ago I was reading a community discussion about neighbourhood initiatives and someone with the username Kats Casino was talking about how places like this thrive when residents start attending markets, volunteering, and supporting local cafés and galleries. It reminded me a bit of some town-centre projects happening around the UK where people are trying to bring life back to historic streets.
