My team loses tools across three job sites every week what am I missing?
I run a small contracting outfit with about a dozen crew members, and we’ve got gear scattered between the workshop, two vans, and wherever we’re working that day. Every Monday starts with someone calling around looking for a rotary hammer or a laser level that’s vanished since Friday. We’ve tried a sign-out clipboard, a WhatsApp group, even colour-coding things by van nothing sticks. I’m not a tech guy, but I feel like there must be a simpler way to know where stuff is without chasing people. How do you all handle this when you’ve got dozens of high-value items constantly on the move? I’m tired of replacing things I know we already own.
