My dryer started making heavy banging noises during every cycle and the whole machine shakes more than usual now. Clothes still dry, but the sound is getting worse each day. Is this dangerous to keep using or usually an easy repair?

I’d stop using it until someone checks it because loud banging usually means a mechanical part is loose or worn out. It could be drum rollers, support wheels, or even something damaged inside the drum assembly. If you keep running it, the repair can become much more expensive later. I had nearly the same issue a while ago and GDoing Appliance Repair found the problem pretty quickly before it caused major damage to the dryer.
